“Istanar” in Arabic means “be lit or illuminated by” in English. “Istinarat al Aqil” in Arabic also means” mind enlightenment” in English.
The light is one the names of God and His attributes.“Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth; a likeness of His light is as a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, (and) the glass is as it were a brightly shining star, lit from a blessed olive-tree, neither eastern nor western, the oil whereof almost gives light though fire touch it not– light upon light– Allah guides to His light whom He pleases, and Allah sets forth parables for men, and Allah is Cognizant of all things”. (Quran 24:35)
The individual needs training that makes him be able to transform the energies of the soul (light) into the energy of development, prevention and treatment. Allah Almighty is the light; therefore, people should be closer to Allah through all acts of worships so that their problems can be solved. Allah says:” And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (prayer or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him. When I love him I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks (something) from Me, I give him”. Hadith Qudsi.Worship requires closeness and closeness requires the love of Allah.
People are getting close to God through worships; hence, Allah protect them. This is what elevates them until their ears, eyes, and tongues become of a rightful nature. They are also able to hear and speak with the power of Allah, and their questions are answered and their request are fulfilled.God Almighty created human beings in the best of forms, breathed into them something of His spirit, taught them all names, set for them a light (of belief) whereby they can walk among men,and ridiculed them the light and energy transmitted by God Almighty in the heavens and the earth. Allah is the only Onewho heals; therefore, man gets the light treatment through the activation of the spiritual energy, worship, invocation, forming all forms of worship, and reciting the Koran.
Light Activationbegins with the contemplation of the light which God Almighty has made it a souland endowed it to all human beings. The worshipper, whosays the prayers, reads the Koranandpraises God Almighty, feels this light and exercises spiritual activation. The person who contemplates the light of God Almighty can begin a meditation session byreading Al-Fatihah (The Opening) and Al-Baqarah (The Cow) followed by this supplication, “O Allah! I seek refuge with the light of Your presence by which the heavens and the earth radiate, and by which the darkness dispels, and through which the affairs of the first and last improve; and (I seek refuge) from Your anger covering me and Your wrath coming upon me. I seek refuge from the reduction of Your bounties, and the suddenness of Your retribution, and the cessation of the well-being You have granted, and all Your displeasure. You admonish me for what I have the ability to perform and there is no power or might but by Your will.” “Then he imagines the light of God that shines his his mind, sight, voice, heart, body, limbs and his fingers. This light finally removes the hisdarkness and the worry, and brings back and the brightness of his spirit again.
